Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

This book is a magical mystery! Riggs puts just the right amount of everything into an original story! I have never before read about a plot like this (which makes it all the more spectacular.) The characters are all unique and each one brilliant. At first I thought "this is taking a bit long to get to the point." (I am one of them people that need the action to kick right off at the start) I soon discovered that this was necessary and amazing! I must insist that you (whoever is reading this) go and find yourself a copy and start to read immediately (or at least as soon as you have time.) This book has fire, flying, birds, monsters, invisible boys, and that is not even the best part (of which I can not tell!) Just writing this has made me want to go out and buy the second one again (meaning I already went out and bought it, the second, no before, I finished this amazing book!) Did I already mention the fact it is magical? Yep! Well then, I don't see what more you need! Go and get this book!

Hello there!

Sorry I ain't wrote a review today! Tomorrow I will be starting to read Dangerous Deception by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl so as soon as that is finished (which knowing me, will not take long) I will review while still fresh in the brain. Here's to hoping the old Rid is back!! (See the double explanation mark? That means business)
I can not believe it has took me till now to purchase this book, I was meant to in may. I hope this ain't a bad sign (of how pi***d I was at rid not being rid lol) anyway enjoy your night/day, while I ponder which new books to fit my selves with *sigh* (hardwork) *swipe forehead*

Twenty-eight and a half wishes by Denise Grover Swank

Okay so I found it a bit strange at first I must admit (why would any 24 year old let their mother control them into having no life is beyond me) that being said I kind of get the point to it now. Without it there would be no story if I'm honest. Rose have forever let everyone control her, in other words she never stands up for herself. She also has visions, ridiculous vision that she conciders useless and that ain't the worse part, she blurts out what ever her vision is, no matter where she is. Nightmare! This I thought was quirky.  When one day she has a vision that changes her life forever. Her own death. Of course things only get worse when someone dies in her place. Dun, dun, dun! But then Rose meets Joe her next door neighbour. Hot, fit, Joe. Who is mysterious. It all goes tits-up from here. This book is fun, dangerous and damn right amazing at times. Detective crime story with a twist is how I would describe it. I love all the characters, I love Denise's writing style. Shiver Cove part 1 tamyra by TJ Shortt

Okay so I've been meaning to review this for a while. I first heared of these book because I have the author on google+ and seen her post about them a few times. So because god loves a trier, I decided to give them a go. So let's start by saying - the teenage girl in me was in love. (It is easy reading, or for me it was, but that right there is part of the teenage love) I really felt for the main going through all the normal stuff most teenagers go through like bullying, growing into a women, turning into a werewolf you know that kind of stuff. So I was pleased when mother dearest ups and moves tamyra to Shiver Cove, where her werewolf aunt has no worries. She makes some great friends who make you wonder what other supernatural stuff is going on In this place and let us not mention no beast. I can not write anything else I do not wish to spoil anyones read. I would most definitely suggest you teenagers give it a go. Also those who are still teenagers at heart. That being said dreams are only real if you make them and TJ Shortt has made them. coincidence or just plain strange....

After writing The Shepherd's crown review (if it can be called a review) I clicked on the dashboard to see if anyone had read it. It was here that I noticed I have written 41 posts. The last being the end of discworld novels - The Shepherd's Crown - which just happens to be the number 41 in the discworld series. To be honest I couldn't be more thrilled (weird of me? I know) this seems fitting to me after loving the discworld for so long. Infact I don't even remember the point I was making now because my mind have gone back thinking of the amazing story. Anyway have a nice day all of you. May you make it ridiculously amazing! *waves with a slanted smile*

The Shepherd's Crown by Terry Pratchett

How can I do this book the justice it deserves? I loved seeing into the way, as a writer Terry worked, the process if you like. Yes it might of been better if he were able to finish it, but I think it is perfect for the end, his end, the discworlds end! I can't possibly begin to tell you how sad, happy, excited, on the edge on my seat, then sad again I was throughout this book! Discworld will and have forever been a favourite of mine. On that score let me begin.

A main character dies (or not dies, depending how you see it), times 'a' changing! There will also be a reckoning! Yes there god damn will....
Tiffany Aching has big boots to fill, possibly the biggest in Pratchett's last ever Discworld novel *cries so hard* *big gaping sobs*.
The elves are back in force and every witch must and will fight to keep the peace on the disc. THERE WILL BE A RECKONING!
You know I really haven't got one thing I would change or complain about (I never have with Terry Pratchett novels) all I have to say is read it. READ THEM ALL!
I myself like to think of Terry as the Granny Weatherwax of fantasy, by that I mean I believe he is the unsaid leader of Fantasy Authors (no offence to any author/reader who don't agree.)
There is not one thing he can't make funny, not even death. That is some skill. Although sad to have read the last ever disc novel, I go forth knowing I have 41 brilliant novels on my shelves that I can pick up at anytime and know they will bring joyous laughter!
Where is Terry now? To quote You! Meow...vrywhere!

Lameness

So it turns out I'm not a very consistent person! Sorry for that....
I really, really haven't found much new fantasy that I am even remotely interested in, soooo, I have been reading alot (and I mean alot) of non fantasy (which I can hardly review about on a fantasy review blog) *sigh*. On a plus, I have just won most times fantasy has been used in one post award (I'm so very happy to win, and all that s@*t).....
Maybe I should change the name of this blog right here to 'A little bit of everything including (yep you guessed it) FANTASY!' Anyway I shall try to make it up to any might be reader. Starting first thing tomorrow! Good day to you all *waves dramatically*.

NON-FANTASY

I'm afraid I've been getting a lot of non-fantasy books sent my way, hence the lack of reviews added. Although I really should of just written some about the books I've already read. *Palm smack*
Plus while I'm talking on my fantasy slacking I may as well add that I've also been catching up on watching what I missed of Pretty Little Liars *EKKK* (If you watch this, you will forgive me and know a must when you see one ;) ......) On a better note this week coming should see the delivery of my June batch of fantasy fill. I'll be reading a range from James Herbert's Once to Kami and Margaret's Dangerous Deception *YAAAY* (which I should of read by now in all fairness.) Anyway I hope you all have a ridiculously brilliant Sunday.........

Dancing with Cupid by Jennifer Stevenson

I just reviewed this, review did not save. *ARGH* 
This is one of them silly Romance books (you know the type.) (I also mean no offence when I say that.) 
Kama is the god of love (as in sex god) each month he needs to top up sex or he will spontaneously combust. (Cheesy? I know.) 
Rathi is a power woman in a suit. This is his next conquest. Who also turns out to be a reincarnation of his goddess wife.
Easy readable (I mean that when I say it) it took me round about three hours in total and that was multitasking.
I would recommend this for when you've run out of things to read (no offence again, but it ain't everyone's' first choice) or if you happen to be into this kind of romance. (you'll no it by the cover, I know that sounds ridiculous by - never judge a book by it's cover standards- but these type always have a similar thing going on.) 
Over all it didn't bore me but that didn't stop me from noticing every cheesy part.
What I consider 'fantasy characters' were misused for sop. Which ruined  it for me. There is so much you can do with ideas. But I must admit I don't think I've read one similar to this.
So give it a read if you think you can stomach sooooo much cheddar. 

Angelfall by Susan EE

There is something brilliant about the apocalypse. That sounds weird. What I mean is there is something I find brilliant about authors who put there on take on the apocalypse. Susan EE does this and it is great. You find yourselves wanting to know what happens next. Peryn is such an amazing lead. She's kickass. She will do what it takes. Her sister has been took by evil angels. Raffe an enemy angel who had his wings cut off is the only help she has. Together they go in search of an invalid girl and Raffe's wings. They get caught by an army of human and have to escape. They keep finding people that have been ate. And you well, you get to see them become friends in an argumentative kind of way on top of everything else going on. So if you like evil angels, devil made things and a hero thats brilliant this is for you. Serious though you could picture this being the end from a teenagers prospective. She has had to grow and fast. Imagine angels swooping down one day and everyone thinking omg beautiful, and them start burning things down, killing people, trashing every city. The fright of something you thought was kind and lovely. All this happens. If you don't fall in love with Raffe and maybe even Peryn, there is something wrong with you ha ha. Go read.... Sorry for the short, but you really have to read it.

The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett

Okay so I love Rincewind. He is like the best wizzard I have ever read about. Yeah you're right, there ain't actually that many wizzards floating around are there. But, there are a lot of wizards and he is better than all of them. This book is amazing. Rincewind lives through every single situation put to him. The tourist Twoflower and his luggage (with thousands of tiny legs) (soon to be Rincewind's luggage) are the best companions you could ever imagine.

Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett

This is such a brilliant take on movie making. I kept putting off reading this one for some reason or another (even though I totally love each and every single one of this mans books) and as these thing go, I loved every second of it. The characters are always amazing with Terry Pratchett (got to state the obvious.) I could almost believe this was the real telling of how the moving pictures started (ha ha) and even if not then at least a funnier better version.

Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice

When I was fourteen I found out about this. It was in 2005. I found this film in my neighbours' house. Then began my secret love of vampires. Well I say secret, but me and my friend from school used to try to write vampire horrors' only to have them turn out really rubbish. The one time my english teacher snached our little book of stories and read them to the whole class *cringe* I can still hear the laughter now. Imagine living forever. The only down is I'm actually squeamish ha ha ha. They are by far my favourite creature to ever roam the horror genre. This is the book and film that made them so. I mean there is an endless possibility to what an author can write about them. Anne Rice is BRILLIANT! Like come on a vampire going to a journalist? HA HA AMAZING! Imagine the guts that boy has to interview a predator.

Asylum by Madeleine Roux

Age at the back 13+, just thought I would get it out there. I've seen a lot of bad reviews for this, but like I said 13+. People need to remember the age!
Now my thirteen year old self would have had the hairs up on the back of her neck. She would of kept peeking up the dark passage (while reading by touch light, with the bedroom door open)
As it is, my twenty three year old self disagrees. Never mind that though, because over all I can see where she was going with this.
Basically Dan crawford goes to a summer programme at a college/old asylum.

The Curse Keepers by Denise Grover Swank

I really, really, really enjoyed this book (like really) I can not stress how much I was into it. I bought the next one before I'd even finished reading it. Ellie Dare Lancaster works in a diner. A hottie comes in who she instantly knows is trouble. He is going to touch her and she knows by her breathing she shouldn't let him.
In short there is a curse. Not on Ellie. Each member of her family will know the curse. Her father passed it down to her. They are the curse keepers. There is another family who are the second. There are only two curse keepers. One from each family. When the two meet and touch the curse is lifted, the gates to hell open and with it and well work that out for yourself.....

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater

Nine Years Earlier........ It is the first day of November and so, today, someone will die.
Maggie is a killer for these lines to start off books. Tell me that have not got your interest, go on, I dare you!
Sean is on the beach with his father, today is race day. The beach is never safe, today it is dangerous. This is where you learn of the capiall uisce. The water horses. Deadly (meat eaters, including their riders). The men of the village race them, on race day. Sean takes to them naturally. Not that he will ride. His father rides a red stallion. Then dies by the teeth of a grey. Sean watches from the cliff.
I don't think often of my father's strung out body through the reddening surf. Instead I remember him as he was before the race: afraid. I won't make the same mistake.

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

OMG! This book is a magical roller coaster ghost train ride! You go through every single emotion while reading this! Sadness. Horror. Happiness. Freaked out. You feel all of these things at any given moment! AMAZING. I originally bought this for my Son. As is tradition I read it first before giving it to him, so I know the contents.
